Java Developer

Job Description

A leading Media company that represents the digital brands and publishing concerns of the Media business is looking for a skilled Java Developer to join them ASAP.

Requirements:

Relevant courses and or certifications: SUN, SOLMS, VZAP, etc… or relevant tertiary degree/diploma

Minimum 24 months JSP development experience

Ideally 3-5 years JAVA and JSP experience

JSP 2, JSTL

Servlets

JavaScript and AJAX

Solid HTML and CSS

XML, XSL

Apache Tomcat 5/6

Netbeans/Eclipse IDE

Struts, Spring

Apache ANT build tool

SVN/CVS or other Source Control

Desired but not essential

J2EE and Web services

Maven

Responsibilities:

Design, maintain, support and enhance JAVA/JSP web applications built on the enterprise content management platform

Document new changes and processes and maintain existing documentation

Participate in the analysis of business requirements and system analysis

Develop new web applications and web services based on business requirements

Participate in testing and implementation of applications

Will work on other code

Maintain Maven

Maintain build scripts for various projects
