Wielding Technologist

Job Description

Hire resolve is seeking a Wielding Technologist for a major client that is a world leader in the Gold industry. Successful incumbent must have a relevant degree or BTech in Metallurgical or Mechanical engineering. Must have a minimum of 6yrs welding experience and a welder certification, project planning experience, pertinent training experience in SHEQ and the Mine and Safety Act and Computer literacy is recommended. Experience as a Head or foremen are highly advantageous. Key performance areas are align welding, fabrication procedures, inspections and audits, plan and perform advanced heat treatments and test and calibrate welding equipment, develop programme monitoring wear materials and identify and implement improvement projects.
