Outputs

• Compile test plans and procedures to cover unit-testing, regression, integration testing, stress testing, volume testing

• Review specifications, extract business rules, compile test / strategy /plans, test approaches, test cases according to the needs and complexity of products or services developed for interactive, and ensuring that all test documentation is always up to date

• Keep track of bug list and drive issues with relevant parties

• Conduct decoder / product qualification tests

• Conduct bandwidth efficiency testing

• Compile accurate reporting documents reflecting the results from any decoder / product testing cycle in a clear and effective manner to management and team

• Liaise with product owners and developers during the product development and testing phase up to launch

• Conduct post launch tests

• Attend project specific meetings

• Communicate directly with customers and external vendors

• Contribute to the knowledge base of all bugs, outstanding faults and issues facing interactive platforms, applications and decoders

Competencies

• Test methodology and best practice used for QA with specific focus on Web testing

• Decoder technologies and functionality

• Microsoft (Word, Excel, PPT)

• Television, video and audio systems

• Development – development issues which could impact on testing

• Version control of software and documentation

• Inventory systems
