Job Description
A Johannesburg based software development company requires a Senior Technical Lead and User Experience Manager to ensure the stability and growth of our product which is an online application. This will include the management of the full development, design and support team.
Requirements:
A minimum of 4 years’ experience within the development environment.
PHP / MySql
CodeIgniter or other PHP MVC framework
JavaScript / jQuery
Mobile Web Development
HTML5
CSS
Python / Ruby would be advantageous
Duties:
• Plan and oversee the ongoing development required to ensure the stability and growth plan for the product ensuring that the underlying architecture supports the growth of users on the UI.
• Design and maintain UI process flows for new projects that update or enhance the system and associated website brochure ware including support manuals and training documents.
• Research and propose ongoing improvements based on trends in the industry both from a technology perspective as well as commercially based on client feedback and requirements.
• Manage the development team to ensure that projects are properly planned, implemented and tested as well as ongoing bugs that are picked up.
• Manage the support team to ensure that customer service as well as application support is of the highest standard.
• Develop and maintain the current front-end, mobile and widget applications and associated services as part of the front-end development team.
