Job Description

My Client is a global company that provides software solutions and services to telecommunication companies. They are currently looking for a Technical Lead to join their team in CT ASAP.

Required:

B.Sc. or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering or a technically related field

Five years commercial experience in software development

Strong design skills with ability to document the designs

Experience of leading and mentoring developers

Expert knowledge of Java and related frameworks E.g. Spring

Experience of C++ is an advantage

Highly developed analytical problem-solving skills to identify and solve complex problems

Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle

Strong leadership skills with good communication skills to influence and gain cooperation

Responsibilities:

Proposing technical solutions for business requirements

Facilitate communication in teams to ensure a consistent approach to software development (including design, architecture, standards, testing, tools etc).

Identify ways to incrementally address technical debt.

Ensure that the solutions proposed for all requirements are of a consistent quality and design.

Ensuring that business functions are implemented using the appropriate technology, technical frameworks and coding standards in line with technical architecture.

Ensuring software build processes (version control, unit testing methodologies, continuous integration etc. ) are consistent across the suite as guided by technical architecture

Define the technical architecture and coding standards for a given application to ensure it is line with technical architecture.

Identify and address technical problems

Continually identify technical improvement opportunities

Ensure that aspects pertaining to technical initiatives are included in the product roadmap

Day to day technical support and guidance for the Application Delivery Team

Mentor developers

Periodically review code and give appropriate feedback

Production of technical solution descriptions

Support for the production of BRS Requirements analysis report including project or feature costing, resourcing assumptions and software development project risks
