Technical Business Analyst for SAP Finance and Logistics

Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled ABAP Software Engineer to join a large software development team. This position is suitable for a creative and enthusiastic software engineer with experience in development in SAP modules for Finance and Logistics, who is interested in advancing his or her career as a Technical Business Analyst and who would be able to enhance the company’s software solutions over all SAP applications.

Responsibilities:

• Analysing SAP business processes, primarily SAP ERP, in depth, both functionally and by examining source code to extract the business logic

• Translating the extracted functional business logic into a technical specification and capturing it as configuration and ABAP source code

• Updating previously extracted technical specifications of business logic to be in line with new SAP component releases and service packs

• Providing technical support to our customers through conference calls and by resolving issues submitted to our support desk

• Working with software engineers to translate functional requirements into technical specifications and solutions

Qualifications and Experience:

• At least an Honours degree in Computer Science, or a similar qualification

• At least four years of working experience as a SAP Finance and Logistics ABAP software engineer.

• Solid skills in Object-oriented ABAP and code-performance tuning

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills

• Experience in working with Business Application Programming Interfaces (BAPIs)

• Enthusiasm for gaining in-depth knowledge of other SAP modules and applications

• Fluency in English

• SAP Basis knowledge an advantage

• Up-to-date SAP certification an advantage

• Ability to function in a fast-moving and challenging environment

• Availability for occasional after-hours support for international customers

• Being comfortable with working as part of a team, sharing knowledge and learning from colleagues.
