Systems Engineer

A reputable Online Marketing and Web Development based company in Cape Town is looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to join the company and help to solve a challenging set of problems in space packed full of opportunities. The ideal candidate will be clearly passionate about the large opportunity that the company presents and about web services in general.

Requirements:

5+ years experience managing systems in a Linux-based networked environment.

Linux stack with experience managing it in a work context

Solid knowledge of server hardware and software troubleshooting.

Knowledge of system performance methodologies along with hands on empirical monitoring.

Be proficient with one of Perl, Ruby, Python, and Shell Scripting

Understand TCP/IP networking, architecture and core technologies (DNS, LDAP, NFS, FTP, etc.)
