Systems Administrator

Job Description

New exciting opportunity for a lucky Systems Administrator! Our Client, in the financial field, is looking for a top class candidate who is in charge of installation, configuration and maintenance of their Operating System software and hardware. If you have Postilion experience then apply immediately!

Responsibilities:

Support the POS Client Server systems

Develop new requirements and processes as required

Analyse and resolve technical problems

Analyse business requirements and propose technical solutions

Run ad-hoc queries as required by the business

Support the testing process, specifically for POS Client Server systems

Perform configuration and upgrade requirements

Active Directory and Exchange Management

Maintenance on IBM, HP and Dell

Software Maintenance and customisation

Create batch schedules

Create change order

Code basic JCL

Code basic automation

Support Batch FTP and the creation of FTP encryption data by development

Analyse and change batch schedules on request

Minimum Requirements:

Programming experience, C, C++, Java essential

Experience in Windows Server and Linux/Unix; SQL; Server database essential

Postilion Term App; Card Fraud rules server; BMC Software package experience advantageous

Personal Attributes:

Ability to work unsupervised

Strong analytical/technical preference

Good problem solving skills

Detail conscious

Customer service driven

Delivery focussed

Able to do stand-by as required
