Solutions Architect

Job Description

Requirements:

A four-year degree in IT, Informatics or related fields is imperative

A minimum of 7 years experience in an IT technical role

Familiarity with Object Orientation

Expert capabilities in a broad range of technologies

Expert UML experience is essential

Familiarity with agile software development life-cycle

Solid understanding of the web and associated interfaces

Experience in designing medium to large software systems within environmental constraints

Experience in ensuring that design constraints and design principles are met by development team

Duties:

Establish the blueprint for future products and services

Provide input into business process improvement initiatives

Understand the business requirements specification and translate into a detailed technical specification

Evaluate and document the data in the source systems

Define data corruption / data quality issues

Review new and existing solution, object, data and database design to evaluate their fit to a given architecture

Lead teams and interact with project management to help establish priorities and advise on the technical options, opportunities, and costs of solutions

Strong business perspective with the ability to understand business drivers and propose solutions to meet business needs

Negotiate solutions with business stakeholders

Enterprise software application development architecture activities

Responsible for overseeing and maintaining software architecture requirements and design by working closely with developers

Develop software using mature software design and modeling techniques to ensure high quality

Review existing software design to evaluate their fit to a given architecture
