Senior Web Developer/Technical Lead

Job Description

A multi-faceted communications consultancy, is looking for an extraordinary candidate with at least 10 years working experience as a web developer (mostly Front-End), who has at least 3 years experience in leading a medium sized team and has both a strong technical and creative background, to fill the role of technical lead in its growing web development unit. Candidates need to be able to start immediately.

Required:

• Relevant Degree/Diploma

• PHP and/or ASP .Net

• MySQL and/or MSSQL

• HTML/XHTML and HTML 5

• CSS (1,2,3)

• JavaScript

• Dreamweaver

• Visual Studio

• Subversion

• Photoshop

• Fireworks

• Illustrator

Duties:

• Convert visual layouts into pixel perfect documents using CSS and standards compliant semantic HTML/XHTML.

• Develop interactive elements implementing unobtrusive Javascript through progressive enhancement.

• Develop, test and deploy dynamic database and/or XML driven solutions using OO PHP or ASP .Net.

• Maintain and develop client relations.

• Create and execute project schedules based on client briefs.

• Manage resources within budgets and project schedules.

• Communicate and enforce coding standards.

• Review work of team.

• Mentor those with less experience through informal channels.

• Train junior team members through both formal and informal training programs.

• Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.

• Actively contribute to corporate knowledge base.
