Senior Systems Engineer

Job Description

Exciting opportunity! Are you an experienced Systems Engineer? Our client in Cape Town is looking someone to fill their senior role.

Responsibilities:

Network Management and reporting

Security

Management of Cisco and HP devices

Routing and switching protocols

Management of Operating Systems and Technologies

Minimum Requirements:

5 years experience

Operating system and technologies: Cisco; HP Procurve; 3Com; Windows XP/7; Windows 2003/2008; Active Directory 2008; Exchange 2007/2010

Routing and switching protocols: Qos; VLAN; Wireless; MPLS 802.1x

Cisco and HP networking equipment

Excellent IPv4 understanding

IPv6 exposure advantageous

VoIP experience advantageous

Experience with scripting language advantageous

Personal Attributes:

Good organisational skills with methodical approach

Systems thinker

Ability to work in group

Effective communication skills

Problem-solving skills

Attention to detail
