Senior Resident Engineer (Roads)

Job Description

A well established consultancy urgently requires an experienced Resident Engineer to join their Roads and Development Division. The candidate will initially be based in their Durban offices, but the position may entail undertaking projects in other areas.

Candidates must have a proven track record of a minimum of 10 years road rehabilitation construction monitoring, a BSc or BTech Civil, and be registered as a Professional Engineer or Technologist.

A thorough knowledge of current practices in road rehabilitation is essential, as is the knowledge of the related construction quality control requirements.

An understanding of contract administration and management of construction monitoring teams is also a requirement.

An ability to undertake road rehabilitation investigations and to assist in the design of road rehabilitation measures would be an advantage.
