Job Description
A reputable consulting firm is currently looking for a Senior Civil Engineering Technologist to commence duties in their East London office as soon as possible.
Minimum requirements are a BTech Eng (Civil) coupled with at least 8 years proven suitable consulting engineering experience after NDT and be registered as a professional technologist with ECSA.
The following computer skills are required Allycad, Civil Designer, MS Office with MS Word and Excel and MS projects. Good communication skills and a valid driver’s licence are also required.
The successful candidate will have the following key performance areas: conceptualize project proposals and carry out feasibility studies. Perform stakeholder and professional team liaison. Perform design, drawings and contract documentation as part of a project team under guidance of a principal. Perform design analysis on civil work using design software packages as a design team leader. Execute site inspections, construction monitoring and contract administration. Perform client liaison and liaison with other professional service providers. Reporting to project leader and calculation of quantities and preparing cost estimates.
