SAP Technical Specialist

Job Description

We are currently looking for a Technical Specialist in SAP to be based in Cape Town. The chosen candidate will be responsible for the implementation, maintenance and enhancement of the configuration of the SAP System as well as offering support to Finance. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Team Leader (IT).

Responsibilities:

• Technically assist in system construction from a functional / ABAP perspective

• Responsible for advanced configuration within the SAP environment

• Responsible for enterprise-system implementation and various aspects of change control

• Responsible for the smooth running of the SAP application

• Responsible for managing the Dev and QA environments

• Responsible for System and QA testing for both ABAP and Configuration changes

• Responsible for managing the production of technical, functional and user documentation

• Responsible for user training

• Provide expert counsel on matters pertaining to the specific specialist area of SAP.

• Stay abreast of technology changes

• Perform feasibility studies

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science / Information Systems / B.Com or other relevant qualification

• 8 years FI/CO configuration experience

• K4/K5 rating or equivalent

• SAP Project Management experience

• MS Project Experience

• Finance experience / background

• Retail experience
