SAP Procurement Consultant (Retail)

Job Description

A Global Company is looking for an experienced SAP Procurement Consultant for a project which is moving into the final stages of realization. This role will involve: facilitating and agreeing business processes, configuring SAP to support these, writing functional specifications to support enhancements and interfaces, liaising with existing system teams to agree integration, liaising with the ABAP and PI team to ensure delivery of solution, sorting out defects raised during testing and supporting the execution of Go-live.

Responsibilities:

• The role will report to the leadership of the area and take specific responsibility for the ownership and delivery of defined functional deliverables

• Coordinate with Business and Technical team for the requirement and delivering of the solution along with Process testing.

• Test execution on Inbound and Outbound processing on SAP Purchase Orders with Integration to SD Shipping and Billing using IDOC’s via PI (XI)

• Test Inbound and outbound Interface Specifications developed to process the following: Purchase Order, SD Billing, SD Shipping notification, Inventory Posting using files converted to flat file format

• Compile SIT and UAT Test Cases

• Create Inbound/Outbound mapping logic when required (according to EDI specifications)

Qualifications and Experience:

• Certified SAP professional is advantageous.

• Bachelor Degree is advantageous.

• The successful candidate should have at least 5 years experience working in the Procurement functional area. They should have been through at least 2 full SAP Procurement implementations.

• Experience in SAP Retail would be very beneficial.

• Experience in the close functional integration of procurement solutions would be advantageous.

• Knowledge and understanding of IDOC Structure and processing mechanisms

• Familiar with data file types (XML, EDI, Flat Files) and mappings

• Possess knowledge of the MM/SD functionality preferably in the SAP IDOC Environment
