SAP Analyst Programmer

Job Description

We are urgently looking for a Analyst Programmer with a wealth of skills and knowledge to lead, report on, investigate, develop and implement maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will be analytical, have problem solving skills, interpersonal and communication skills, conceptualisation ability and the ability to perform well under pressure.

Responsibilities:

• Identify user department conceptual requirements and obtain User Manager’s approval for IT projects and maintenance tasks in terms of requirements, education (user and project team) and timing

• Ensure that all processes have been investigated/considered in obtaining the specifications of the user requirements and all steps in the Development Cycle are executed

• Appropriate allocation of resources matching the ability and experience of available programmers with planned requirements.

• Controlling and forecasting all aspects of systems/program development

• Ensure user satisfaction/acceptance of all completed as well as compatibility with agreed strategies and standards and proper maintenance/control of the various systems by the Data Base Administrators and SAP Basis team

• Ensure that all job streams for a system operate correctly prior to hand over.

Qualifications:

• Diploma/degree in Information Systems or Commerce

• Project Management and SAP Education

• ABAP Training at SAP South Africa

• 1-2 year experience exposed to user applications in a support /supervisory capacity or 1-2 years SAP or IT systems experience in Automotive or related manufacturing environment

• At least 3 years ABAP programming experience; analyst experience and general SAP knowledge – practical system knowledge

• Experience in MS office products
