Job Title: Rigger Foreman – Mining

Location: Gauteng, South Africa

Hire Resolve’s Client are seeking a skilled and experienced Rigger Foreman to join their mining team in Gauteng. As the Rigger Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the rigging activities on our mining site to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with all regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervising a team of riggers and providing guidance and direction to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
• Planning and organizing rigging activities, including the lifting and moving of heavy equipment and materials.
• Inspecting rigging equipment and ensuring that it is properly maintained and in good working condition.
• Training new riggers on proper rigging techniques and safety procedures.
• Conducting safety inspections and identifying potential hazards to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Collaborating with other departments to coordinate rigging activities with overall project schedules.
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to rigging operations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a rigger in a mining or heavy industrial environment.
• Proven experience in supervising a team of riggers and coordinating rigging activities.
• Possession of a valid rigging certification or qualification.
• Strong knowledge of rigging techniques, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret rigging plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
