Job Description
A Canadian Exploration company with projects and prospects in West Africa has an opportunity for a Regional Exploration Manager, to head up a well-established local subsidiary with a large local technical and non-technical staff. The Successful Incumbent must be a fluently bilingual (English-French) professional, preferably with an advance technical degree and has previous experience working in West Africa, with a sensitivity to the cultural challenges that such a position entails. It is imperative that the candidate be familiar with gold and base metal terrains, having spent most of their career working on gold exploration and must have experience working on and managing advanced exploration programs, up to a feasibility level. Experience managing a diverse group of employees, consultants, contractors and joint ventures is also an added advantage.
