A global pharmaceutical company is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to start as soon as possible.
Bachelor of Science or relevant qualification
5 – 10 Years’ experience in quality related production in the pharmaceutical | medical industry
Experience with ISO standards and GMP quality systems
Responsible for Product quality assurance and consumer safety in accordance with quality standards and requirements (SANS 10330, SANS 10049 and ISO 9001 and regulatory requirements)
Analysis and action of non-conformance reports (NCR) and out-of-specification (OOS) systems
Responsible for managing the Quality Management system
Internal GMP, GHP and food safety audits conducted according to schedule for ISO and HACCP accreditation, maintenance of the systems and ensuring overall GMP compliance
Coordinating and liaising with external certification bodies and government body hygiene or veterinary inspectors on certification and surveillance audits
Auditing of company internal requirements and external suppliers and co-packers (Internationally and locally)
Support provided in technical management through benchmarking with other factories as well as other non-company factories (Internationally and locally)
Laboratory auditing of site laboratories i.e. methods and technicians (planned job observations)
Ensuring safety in laboratories including competency testing of lab technicians and analysts to conduct tests as per Company methodology ring testing as required (analytical within own lab)
Customer and consumer focus
Proposing methods of improving customer services internally and externally and develop and implement methods for continuous improvements throughout the Supply Chain
Management and review of customer and consumer complaints and corrective action
Change management of man, method, machine, material changes with regards to impact on quality of product, factory approval and handover systems, on Imported products and engineering projects
Incident management with regards to recalls, consumer safety and serious incidents (corporate role) as well as minor quality incidents (site role) so as to ensures traceability of all products from shelf to raw materials
Continuous improvement learning from other manufacturing plants (locally and internationally)
Technical and people management and control
Budget preparation for the Quality and Compliance Department
Reporting and presenting at senior levels on the Quality and Compliance Department
Training at all levels of plant personnel, on company’s hygiene policies and procedures, non-conformance system, food safety, plant hygiene, Good Manufacturing / Hygienic Practices and document control
Development of training programmes for respective job profiles and carried out regular competency assessments
