Job Description

A leading e Billing company in Rosebank is looking for a Project Manager. The employee is employed in the capacity of eBilling Projects & Operations. This includes, but is not limited to the following duties:

Project Management:

New project set up for projects at all complexity levels

Handling change requests at all complexity levels

Defines the functional requirements specification (as an extension of the BRS) and scope of projects

Knowledgeable reference for the development team during the course of the project

Regular quality control checks to ensure that the project remains in line with the supplied specifications

Manages change control process during project build and ensures that all documentation is kept up to date

Manages and enforces project schedules and budgets

Notifies the relevant development team of any discrepancies (deviations from the specification) and follows up on the updates

Ensures that both the Client and the Account Manager are kept up-to-date on the progress/status of the project

Participates in the prioritization of projects together with the Development pod team lead and the Integration manager

Solves hurdles that arise during projects in order to mitigate late delivery, poor quality and team conflict

Creation and maintenance of documentation including, but not limited to, specifications, agendas, meeting minutes and status reports

Facilitates the requirements brainstorming workshops executed in the Brainstorming practice

Translates and documents the brainstorming outcomes into manageable and measurable features

Communicates and applies project standards

Ensure that all hand over documentation are accurate and complete

Daily Operational Task Management:

The daily planning and management of assigned operational processes, repeat campaigns and automated projects

Pro-actively monitor all weekly and monthly scheduled runs

Pro-actively detect errors or failures and raise the necessary flags

Daily problem solving and identifying critical issues with ease

Ensure issues are tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner

Creation and maintenance of documentation including, but not limited to, monthly build and delivery plan, status reports on operational task execution, reports on monthly/weekly recurring builds, DR documents and process;

Testing of deliverables and quality assurance

Proactive monitoring of daily/weekly/monthly tasks

Ensuring that all project documentation is up to date

Handling change requests and new campaigns at a complexity level 2 (no specification needed)

Daily troubleshooting

Daily, weekly and monthly reporting

Liaise with the creative team on projects and campaigns

First level client support (diagnosis and problem routing)

Candidate profile:

2-4 years’ experience within a similar position

Working experience in a software/IT industry will be an advantage

Have a strong ability to conceptualize and follow through on projects from start to finish

Strong technical skills

Able to produce documentation at a high standard in both content and grammar/spelling

Highly organised, logical and structured individual

Strong customer service experience

Excellent time management ability

The candidate must be comfortable in an open plan set-up with constant group interaction
