Job Description

A Major Software Development company is looking for a Project Engagement Manager to join their team ASAP!

Requirements:

Minimum of 6 years working experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of project development and execution

Bachelors degree or equivalent

Must hold an active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI), in good standing

Advanced Microsoft Project Professional

Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Advantageous

An active PRINCE2 certified practitioner

Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Qualification in business related administration

Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint team sites

Duties:

The Project Engagement Manager (PEM) is accountable for the successful delivery and customer satisfaction on their assigned initiatives within their practise area, and is a key point of accountability for successful delivery and customer satisfaction.

The PEM is focused on the delivery of multiple initiatives by playing a lead role to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan.

The PEM supports the Practise Manager during the sales process by understanding customer requirements and compiling project management related inputs for proposals

You will be expected to interact on a daily basis with designers, journalists and developers who have built sites like www.capetown.travel, www.gauteng.net and www.etana.co.za – enterprise-level sites that require you to develop complex architectures and anticipate future developments.
