Insurance Company in Johannesburg seeking a Payment Administrator.
*Responsible for making all payment
*Responsible for communications with the bank
*Capturing all manual entries (e.g. refunds, admin fees, etc) and allocating them accordingly to the different GL accounts.
*Posting batches to the relevant cashbooks.
*Reconciliation of claims accounts to bank statements.
*Handling of all queries with regards to the above cashbooks.
*Ensuring that the relevant cashbooks balance to the trial balance.
*Ensuring that any discrepancies/anomalies are followed up and reported on.
*Completing of cheque’s and maintaining the cheque register.
*Daily communication with different departments with regards to any queries that may arise.
*Processing of basic journals to the general ledger.
*Maintaining the fixed assets register.
*Able to assist in other areas when colleagues are on leave.
