Job Description

A leading Media and Marketing Company is looking for an experienced Web Developer to act as the team leader of the department.

The position is based in Bellville, Cape Town.

This exciting opportunity requires a creative, hard working and dedicated individual.

The position entails development of new or maintenance of old static or dynamic web sites and web applications. Also involves training and motivating the team.

Requirements

• Matric essential with a degree-level education;

• Technical qualification in computing or IT;

• Three years experience in computer programming;

• Thorough knowledge of relevant programming languages;

• Strong logical reasoning and analytical skills;

• Computer literacy (PHP, HTML, JavaScript, MySQL and Linux);

• Attention to detail and creativity;

• Ability to organize workloads and prioritize;

• Deadline driven;

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment;

• Familiarity with Linux programming and the existing infrastructure;

• Keep up to date with developments in programming to ensure that the company continues to take advantage of new ideas and developments
