A well-known insurance firm is seeking a Payment Administrator to join their team. Will be reporting to the Finance Manager. • Responsible for making all payments (claims, commissions, admin fees, refunds as well as creditor payments) including batch payments.•Responsible for communications with the banks if having system issues or if there are any queries that need to be resolved.•Capturing all manual entries (e.g. refunds, admin fees, etc) and allocating them accordingly to the different GL accounts.•Posting batches to the relevant cashbooks.•Reconciliation of both the bank claims accounts to bank statements.•Handling of all queries with regards to the above cashbooks.•Ensuring that the relevant cashbooks balance to the trial balance.•Ensuring that any discrepancies/anomalies are followed up and reported on.•Completing of cheque’s and maintaining the cheque register.•Daily communication with different departments with regards to any queries that may arise.•Processing of basic journals to the general ledger.•Maintaining the fixed assets register.•Able to assist in other areas when colleagues are on leave.•Deadline driven, dedicated and enthusiastic•Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)•Able to analyse and solve problems•Good organizational skills•Discretion when dealing with confidential information•Professional and ethical.•Knowledge of Accpac will be advantageous but not a requirement•General computer literacy including MS Office: excel; email.
