Operations Manager

Job Description

One of our major clients with its Head Office in Toronto and various operations in Chile, West Africa, Southern Africa, Brazil and the United States is looking for an Operations Manager to join its operations in Southern Africa based Johannesburg. You will be required to lead the execution of the long-term strategy for multi-discipline functions within a mine, including some or all of the following departments: mine, mill / processing, maintenance, engineering and geology. To formulate short- and intermediate term business plans; ensuring alignment with the organization’s overall strategy amongst things. You must have a degree in Metallurgy/Chemistry or Mining Engineering plus 15 years mining related experience with solid mills and technical services experience. Professional Registration would be highly advantageous and the willingness to travel extensively.
