Job Description
Hire Resolve is representing a Mining company in its search for an Occupational health, safety & environmental officer.
This position requires the candidate to advise management on occupational health, safety and environmental issues and perform duties related to that. This includes monitoring the Company’s compliance with applicable Safety laws and regulations, conducting regular safety audits, accident and incident investigations, screening of employee health, and others.
This position requires a relevant tertiary qualification and at least 5 yrs experience in a similar role.
Need sound knowledge of occupational health, safety and environmental legal requirements as applicable to the mining industry.
Proven experience in implementing and evaluating a comprehensive safety program.
Successful candidate will also have a Fire Fighting Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Valid driver’s license, no criminal record. Should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be Computer literate (MS office, Outlook).
