Mine Overseers

Job Description

Hire Resolve is representing a coal mine industry in their search for a Mine Overseer.

The responsibilities of this position entail overseeing a colliery with mechanised underground sections, and blasting operations when required (dykes, excavations, etc.). It also includes managing and controlling all production and back bye-related issues.

This position requires at least grade 12, a Mine Overseer’s Certificate of Competency (Coal mines), and a Mine Manager’s Certificate.

The successful candidate should have sound knowledge of current mining and safety legislation, have good management and communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and experience in controlling finance and budgeting processes. Experience as a Mine Overseer will be advantageous.
