Mid – Senior Java Developer

Job Description

A Leading Media company is looking for a skilled and passionate Java Developer to join their team ASAP!

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

Web development background:

Four + years experience designing and deploying Java / J2EE / Java EE - based solutions on behalf of complex, integrated, business environments.

Experience designing and exposing re-usable Service Orientated Architecture (SOA) based solutions.

Deep knowledge of XML, Apache Tomcat, Java ServerPages (JSP), HTTP, and Servlets .

Proven and extensive experience designing solutions using the Apache Struts Framework (for Java EE) and Apache Axis Framework (for Web Services).

Possesses a strong background in Object-Oriented (OO) system design.

Experience with iterative software design, prototyping and methodologies.

Demonstrable experience with Escenic Web CMS or similar product.

Experience with software build/deployment frameworks

Experience performing source control with Visual SourceSafe, TortoiseSVN or similar product.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Presentation skills and the demonstrable ability to discuss technical subjects with personnel - at all levels - is a must.

Highly analytical, pro-active and detail oriented.

Familiarity with ad serving platforms

Responsibilities:

Build new and enhance current sections of the websites across Avusa Media as needed, based on business requirements, using the Escenic content management system and creating and modifying CSS. Includes desktop websites and mobile sites.

Maintain registration pages of desktop websites, smart-phone apps and tablet applications

Build web applications and for other platforms using Java skills?

Create newsletters and manage delivery of newsletter campaigns.
