Junior SAP Functional Analyst (Retail)

Job Description

One of Africa’s largest food retailers is currently looking for a Junior Functional Analyst to join their Cape Town Branch.

The purpose of this position will be to evaluate the demands of the business owners, transform the essence into an abstract and algorithmic business model and as such identify the use cases and transform them into logical and technical views and then configure the system

Responsibilities:

• Structuring of system strategy such as the development of systems requirements through the design, prototyping, testing, training, defining, and implementation of procedures for support of practical business solutions.

• Customizing the respective business area and making sure the system reacts in the manner according to the constraints

of the request.

• Prepare test scripts for testing the configured scenarios and perform the testing.

• To oversee the developing of ABAP programs and functions as requested by business in accordance with the Company Standards

• To provide support to the junior members of the team as well as users of the SAP System.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A 3-year IT-related qualification is essential

• 1 - 3 years SAP-Retail Domain experience is essential

• 1 year's experience in SAP ABAP Development for Retail is desirable

• 1 year's experience in the Development/Maintenance of SAP workflow is desirable

• Knowledge of Retail Practices (e.g. SD, MM, IM, GTS (Global Trade Services))

• Understanding of Accounting Principles

• IMG (Implementation Guide for R/3 Customizing) Configuration

• MS Office skills

• Standard ABAP

• Dialog Programming

• SAP Script

• Object Oriented ABAP

• Business Server Page programming
