Java Developer/Team Lead

Job Description

An urgent call for Cape Town Java Developers who will be responsible for the development, implementation and support of applications. Will need to perform under minimal supervision, function in a design/technical lead capacity on certain projects, leading small technical teams and coordinating with other parts of the organization. Position also involves reviewing business requirements and translation into technical specifications.

Minimum Requirements:

BSc Degree or Diploma

Demonstrated strong communications skills (internal and external to the group).

Demonstrated strong teamwork skills leading small technical teams.

Strong object oriented design and development skills in Java.

Strong problem solving skills

Experience in Java Frameworks Java Server Pages (JSP), Struts, JDBC-SQL, Servlets, Java beans, TCP/IP, Sockets, HTTP, RMI, XML, Java Messaging/Transaction Services (JMS/JTA/JTS), Enterprise Java Beans (EJB).

Hands on approach to identifying and optimizing existing codes and resolving bugs
