Internal Audit Specialist

Job Description

This Medium size Bank seeks a competent Internal Auditor to minimise the risk through effective execution of audits, including developing and maintaining audit programmes, planning, fieldwork, analysis of findings, generation of audit reports and presentation of results.

Qualifications:

B.Com Honours Internal Auditing

CIA – Non negotiable

At least 5 years’ internal audit experience in the Financial Services sector, of which 2 years should have been in a senior/managerial level role.

2 – 3 years auditing experience within a credit or treasury environment

Duties and Responsibilities:

Identifying and prioritising key business risks and relevant compensating controls.

Developing, managing and executing risk-based internal audit reviews.

Preparing flow charts of systems and business processes.

Planning audits, i.e. developing audit scope and objectives.

Developing audit programmes and ensuring application of the appropriate audit approach.

Executing audit programmes within specialised business units such as Treasury and/or Credit.

Working closely with third party co-sourcing audit providers.

Preparing audit findings and developing recommendations.
