My Client is a major Mining house in Africa looking for an IT Manager to come on board ASAP.
BSc or MSc Degree preferable in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering from an accredited Institution.
CISM, CISA, CISSP, ITIL and / or COBIT are desirable.
Any other relevant IT certification from an accredited Institution is desirable
Develop a CAR IT Strategy and align to overall Group IT Strategy and business goals.
Integrate commercial and technical systems where appropriate.
Define an IT value proposition aligned to the business value proposition and regularly communicate with the business.
Define metrics based on overall business drivers and objectives.
Understand and maximise the mix of internal versus outsourced services through the implementation of appropriate service catalogues.
Ensure increasing customer satisfaction, products and services based on the enterprise requirements.
Identify and report on critical IT dependencies and current IT performance.
Benchmark, analyse, report on and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of IT.
Ensure sufficient and adequate investments in IT applications and infrastructure to meet business needs.
Oversee and enforce IT and information security strategies, policies, procedures and standards to ensure the protection of the IT assets and the integrity, security and privacy of electronic information entrusted to or maintained.
Ensure intellectual property in information and information systems is adequately protected.
Define, manage and provide appropriate training on IT governance framework
o Strategic alignment;
o IT risk management;
o IT value delivery;
o IT performance management; and
o IT resource management.
Perform regular IT disaster recovery testing across all CAR sites.
Align the IT disaster program to the business continuity program.
Demonstrate to the relevant committees that adequate IT disaster recovery arrangements are in place.
Provide technology vision and planning processes for evaluating existing technology, information systems and staffing, researching new solutions and technologies and recommending changes.
Identify, communicate and monitor Return on Investment (ROI), costs and value for all strategic IT initiatives and projects and demonstrate related solution benefits during and post project implementation.
Oversee and enforce project governance across all sites and for all projects within AGA CAR and drive new IT initiatives and programs.
Encourage innovation by keeping abreast with and proposing new suitable technologies to promote more cost effective use of IT resources to maximise benefits to the business.
Develop and implement a formal IT disposal policy and related procedures.
Ensure that appropriate certification is obtained when disposing of IT goods.
Develop and regularly monitor the approved annual operating and capital budgets for information and technology systems
