Job Description
One of the World’s Largest Mining companies is looking for an Information Management Systems Analyst to join their team ASAP, this particular position is based in Rustenburg.
Requirements:
Completed 3 years Degree/Diploma (Computer Science).
Advantageous: Business Management Qualification
Eight years general IT work experience.
At least three years post qualification experience preferably in the organizations environment.
Advanced IT Skills – Conceptual, plan, build, and test.
Competent in the operational processes and systems used in OPERATIONAL UNIT
Project management skills and experience
Duties:
The IM Systems Analyst is responsible for all IT related maintenance and implementations at OPERATIONAL UNIT and to ensure the continuity of the IT infrastructure. The Systems Analyst coordinates and implements optimization initiatives while ensuring that standardization is retained.
The process control system and subsequently the IT infrastructure at OPERATIONAL UNIT is vital for the production of platinum and therefore outsourcing of the IT infrastructure is not an option. Therefore the Systems Analyst has a huge responsibility to ensure continuity of the IT infrastructure with no downtime allowed
