General Manager

Job Description

A top mining house based in the North West is in search of a General Manager.

Applicants for this position must have a Mining engineering degree, a valid Mine Manager’s Certificate as well as a Mine Overseer Certificate of Competency. You will also to have10 years experience in mine engineering roles, with 5 years managerial experience in similar industry, preferable from coal mining industry.

The successful applicant will be responsible for all business activity at the mine and associated operations and will lead a comprehensive management team. He/she will align and lead the implementation of the operational policy, systems and procedures within relevant corporate and legal frameworks and policies by contributing operational information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
