GCC Mines & Works Engineer

Job Description

A Coal Mine in the province of Mpumalanga has a vacancy for a GCC - Mines and Works Engineer: Mechanical / Electrical.

The purpose of this position will be to manage and co-ordinate the Engineering function and infrastructure by ensuring the safe, profitable and cost effective engineering practices, according to an agreed plan this includes the design, implementation and maintenance of facilities, components, products, and systems for mining purposes.

Minimum requirements: a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, a Government Certificate of Competency - Mines & Works (Electrical), as well as 8 year’s experience in mining environment on supervisory / middle management level. Being registered as a Pr. Eng. with ECSA will be a distinct advantage.
