Job Title: Estimator
Location: Wellington, Western Cape

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our client’s team in Wellington, Western Cape. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating and a proven track record of accurately assessing project costs and preparing competitive bids.
Responsibilities:
– Review project drawings and specifications to accurately estimate material, labor, and equipment costs
– Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
– Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for a variety of construction projects
– Analyze project risk factors and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential cost overruns
– Present and defend estimates to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams
– Monitor project progress and cost variations to ensure estimate accuracy
– Keep abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and material costs to inform future estimates
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating
– Proficiency in estimating software (such as Procore, Bluebeam, or PlanSwift)
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
– Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
– Knowledge of construction codes, regulations, and best practices
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
