Environmental Manager

Job Description

A leading mining house in the North West requires an Environmental Manager to manage and supervise all aspects of the underground environmental section.

Required qualifications and experience:

-Tertiary level qualification in Environmental Management and or Biological Sciences

-Chamber of Mine’s Certificate in Mine Environmental Control.

-Radiation Protection Officer Certificate will be advantageous.

-8 years experience in a mining environment.

-Fully knowledgeable on the 2013 milestones with regard to Occupational Hygiene.

-Medically fit for the position.

-Exceptional computer skills in all Microsoft Office applications.

The successful person must be assertive, innovative, a team player and able to work through instructions but also independently and must be able to work in a high pressure environment.
