Job Description
A renewable energy development company is currently looking for a Construction Site Manager for their operation in the Northern Cape.
Suitable candidates will have the following: A degree in Engineering (electrical, mechanical or civil), with a minimum of 5-10 years experience. Registration as a Professional Engineer or a Chartered Engineer (or equivalent with suitable construction experience). Heavy civil engineering construction experience/experience in renewable energy/power generation. Background in farming/ agriculture is considered an advantage. Skilled in management of site construction activities with proven ability to manage the interfaces with various stakeholders (Operations, HSE, Security and Community Relations disciplines) during project execution. Capable of managing projects in a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary team setting. HSE management of a large group of people and contractors. Strong project management skill set required including contract management, contract administration, scheduling, planning, financial control and management. Excellent written and oral communications skills. Candidates should be capable of managing internal and external resources. Ability to use Microsoft software as well as specialist software packages such as GIS, AutoCAD, MS Project and SharePoint.
