Commercial Manager: Group Procurement

Job Description

My client is seeking someone who can tackle tasks with vigour and someone who is fearless in the scrum and gives 100% till the last minute.

If growth and stability in a permanent position is what you looking for, my client based in Port Elizabeth is seeking a Group Procurement Manager.

The successful candidate will optimize the total cost of ownership, reliability and security of supply and quality of various packaging commodities across the group, through strategic sourcing, supply chain management and supplier relationship and performance management. The commodities include glass bottles, crates, coolers, fleet, spares and CO2.

Qualifications:

• MBA or equivalent Degree

• 8 years business experience of which 5 years is in commercial purchasing

Responsibilities:

Formulate a commodity strategy for each commodity, in close collaboration with the group supply chain and user functions

Align each country’s procurement business plan with group strategy and business requirements and develop a detailed commodity procurement plan

Manage the implementation of the commodity strategies and procurement plans

Source commodities and optimize costs through appropriate sourcing mechanisms including system collaboration and participation

Negotiate and monitor master terms and conditions as well as supplier operations and service level contracts

Manage and measure key supplier relationships and performance in execution of contracts

Provide three year cost forecasts for each commodity

Measure performance against KPI’s and report regularly as required
