Civil/Structural Engineer

Job Description

Civil Engineering firm requires a Civil Engineer on a powerplant building project in Sasolburg.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the following:

• To follow the timeschedule and report progress

• To assist, instruct and teach the civil subcontractor in their way of working

• To execute inspections on quality of materials and works

• HSE and Environmental management

• To control day to day activities of the civil subcontractor

• To assist the Civil Section Manager

• To Interprete construction drawings

• To Prepare required reports, working with MS projects, Excel, Word and Powerpoint

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Minimum requirements:

• 3 years minimum working on large scale $50M+ projects

• 5 years+ solid civil earthworks/roads experience

• 5 years+ solid civil concrete structures experience

• University Degree

• Contractor experience
