Business Analyst for a well-known Financial Services Company
The Senior Business Analyst must analyse and synthesize information provided by a large number of people who interact with the business, such as customers, staff, IT professionals and executives. The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for eliciting the actual needs of stakeholders, not simply their expressed desires. In many cases, the Senior Business Analyst will also work to facilitate communication between organisational units. In particular, Senior Business Analysts often play a central role in aligning the needs of business units with the capabilities delivered by information technology, and may serve as a “translator” between those groups.
The Senior Business Analyst will report into the Lead Business Analyst in
Responsibilities / Outputs Be proficient in performing according to the following BABOK Performance Competencies:

The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for the following outputs:
•Creation/revision of the following analysis artifacts and deliverables:
-Business Case documents
-Business requirements specifications
-Functional requirements specifications
-Non-functional Requirements Specification
-Small Work Requests
•Provide input into Requests for Quotes (RFQ), Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP)
Experience •Excellent knowledge of Investment Banking/ Stock Exchange environments
•Degree or diploma in a numerical/analytical subject e.g. Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or Business Analysis from an accredited school would be preferred
•Comprehensive understanding of BABOK Techniques and competencies
•Minimum of 7 years solid business analysis experience in a complex and heterogeneous IT environment using a formal methodology
•Good understanding of technologies and systems
•Good understanding of BPM change management and project management
•Proficient in VISIO data modelling tool
•Good working knowledge of project management practices and principles
•SDLC and analysis methodologies
•Understanding of IT principles and environments
•Solid experience working in a multi-disciplinary team, fostering collaboration and teamwork.
•Solid experience in interacting with internal and external customers with demonstrated customer service orientation.
•Expert experience with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
